EARTH SIDE...

Grand Barbe

Grand Barbe offers an excellent day trip with its historic ruins and breathtaking scenery.

The journey through the Silhouette Mountains is already unique, but the final destination is particularly impressive: a ghost village where giant tortoises roam, a long deserted beach where sea turtles nest.

This tour is for experienced walkers only.

The Dauban Mausoleum

Visit one of the most eccentric pieces of architecture in the Seychelles, with its six massive neoclassical columns inspired by La Madeleine in Paris.

Just a stone's throw from La Belle Tortue, in a palm grove on the Dauban family estate, the monument underlines the past prosperity of both the French family and the island.

Plage de la Passe

Stroll along La Passe's 2 km of beach.

Only 7% of Silhouette is inhabited: you can really escape the crowds!

At low tide, reach the beautiful Baie Cipailles where the jungle reaches the ocean and admire the beauty of the Seychelles' famous black granite rocks.

Anse Ramasse-Tout

Walk to Anse Ramasse-Tout, just a few minutes from La Belle Tortue but so far from the world.

Discover the small Anse and stand on the rocks, admiring the powerful waves, Anse Patate & the island of Mahé in the distance.

Watch the local fishermen, and feel the spiritual atmosphere of the cemetery where Silhouette's ancient families are laid to rest.

Hiking at Jardin Marron

See the Seychelles' famous Coco-de-Mer and Silhouette's unique wildlife.

The garden of palm trees and giant seeds stands on Pot-à-Eau mountain at an altitude of 450 meters, surrounded by the largest equatorial forest and one of the most formidable biodiversities in the Indian Ocean.

Jardin Marron owes its name to the old path created in the 19th century by slaves fleeing the plantations.

Admire Anse Mondon!

By boat or at low tide through the rainforest and its wildlife reach the small cove with its crystal-clear waters, sometimes rough and inhospitable but often calm and perfect for snorkeling.

Pass by the ruins of the old plantation and take a refreshing dip in the spring water. Nature has reclaimed its rights, and here you are alone in the world.
